The dust has settled. The new force is here!

A large alliance has formed, along with a few temporary friendships, all for one goal: crush our villain, Last Gangster.

Phase 1The pincer

The war started without a second to waste. The Forsaken fought •[D]estraCtiOn• and Sustainer, plus the Divinity alliance, at Kriemhild. Chaos followed! Meanwhile Aurora I and II, Mexican Gangster and Intelligent BRAIN pushed in and pinned down Jing at Skoegul. A pincer move by the •[D]estraCtiOn• alliance! The crash was spectacular (or just chaotic). But the sky has eyes: Divinity had its eye on the same prize, and the attackers crashed into each other before they ever reached the defenders.

By now it's not a rumor anymore. Jing's Skoegul shines with a level 50 investment.

Ten minutes in, the juggling between attack and defense began. Then it happened. •[D]estraCtiOn• baited The Forsaken by thrusting the flag, then Emergency Called straight into the Forsaken Emperium room. The Forsaken answered with an Emergency Call of their own, but most of their members were already frozen. Wipeout.

Phase 2Siege of Skoegul #2

Now everyone pulled back to Skoegul, leaving The Forsaken to clash with Divinity, EQUILIBRIUM and Illuminati at Kriemhild. The Forsaken retook the castle from the •[D]estraCtiOn• flag and dug in against the Divinity alliance.

Meanwhile, the real clash of titans broke out at Skoegul! Two alliances with no free alliance slot to tie them together: chaos. Aurora and Mexican Gangster tried to keep the entrance open, but a third side always came in. Divinity and the RED alliance both wanted a piece of this castle.

Phase 3Ending story and the carelessness

Near the end of the war, everyone scrambled for castles. •[D]estraCtiOn• Emergency Called in and broke The Forsaken's Emperium, forcing The Forsaken to move to Gondul. Last Gangster pulled out of Skoegul once it was clean and snatched Holy Shadow.

Then it happened! Last Gangster Emergency Called into Kriemhild and threw •[D]estraCtiOn• out on the street. •[D]estraCtiOn• was left without a home. Teary-eyed, off to sleep at the temple!

The war ends with the Last Gangster alliance holding four castles, while •[D]estraCtiOn•'s side keeps only one, through Sustainer. The score is settled at 2:1 today!

Aftermath

Musical Chairs!

8 of 10 castles changed hands · only Jing held

The musical chairs stopped on 18 Oct and almost every guild ended up in a different seat. Eight of the ten castles on ODIN have a new owner this week. Only one guild kept its home: Jing is still at Skoegul.

Look closer: only Jing managed to hold a castle and keep up its tech investment. Will Jing reach the maximum of 100 first, or will the castle change hands and leave the sweets for someone else?

Last issue's cover promised Mexican Gangster and Intelligent BRAIN with full rosters. After the war, neither guild holds a castle.

Alliance Spotlight · A new force to reckon with

Our young alliance has grown into a force of about 100 players, and it welcomes a new mid-size guild: Elven Gard, another Indonesian guild on the ODIN battlefield.

The opening move: an attack on Illuminati at Sacred Altar, then a chase all the way to Fadhgridh to break them again. After that they joined the fight at Skoegul, then pulled back to hold Bamboo Grove Hill.

Are they ready to settle the debt with Last Gangster? We will see!

A Wizard with the Marc Card? No. The true value is in the hands of the Bard, who can freeze the whole screen with Frost Joke while the Marc Card keeps him from freezing. Pair him with a Dancer, also on Marc, for Loki's Veil, and with Frost Joke they hold the choke point and shut down any offensive.
